Transparency and a well-structured process are essential for building strong partnerships. I've outlined my client and design process here to give you a clear understanding of each step and its timing.
KICK OFF CALL
Before finalizing any agreements or making deposits, we have a brief 30-minute call to discuss the full scope of the project, including deliverables, timelines, budgets, and more. Typically, we reach a verbal agreement during this call.
Signed & sealed
I'll send over a project proposal outlining the agreed-upon deliverables and quote from our call for your approval. Once confirmed, I'll share the contract, briefing template, and a 50% deposit invoice. We can move forward only once these documents are signed, the payment is made, and the forms are completed.
Let’s dive into the design phase!
Upon receiving the signed contract, the 50% deposit, and the completed brief along with the mood board, I can start my process. Below, I will outline each stage of my design approach to arrive at a primary direction that I believe effectively addresses the brief.
Presentation
It’s likely been two to three weeks since I received everything I needed from you, and I’m now prepared to present my work. During this presentation, I will guide you through each stage of my design process, explaining the rationale behind each decision that leads to a final design. I will also send you the presentation deck afterward, so you can refer back to it while gathering feedback.
Final or feedback
While it may be challenging, it's crucial to take a day or two to absorb all the information I’ve shared before offering consolidated feedback. Based on the extent of the revisions needed (if any), I might send the updates via email, or I can present them to you if they require more in-depth discussion.
Sign off!
Once you’ve approved the design, I’ll send the final invoice. After payment is received, I’ll provide all the files and exports in a well-organized folder system for your immediate use. I also like to check in with my clients a couple of months after the project is completed to see how everything is going, so please watch for my follow-up!
